ProSUM Information Network Event - check photos and presentations!

More than seventy people, from the WEEE, batteries, ELV, mining and government sectors, attended the ProSUM event at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Brussels. Presentations were given by members of the ProSUM consortium outlining the steps taken to harmonise data gathering and the development of a new classification system and early insights into the collated data for batteries, ELV, mining wastes and WEEE. Thomas Marinelli, Philips, and Christer Forsgren, Stena Metall, gave industry perspectives on the need for better data. Lie Heymans from the European Commission also talked about data and the EU materials knowledge base.

Stakeholders shared their thoughts on how they want to collaborate as part of the IN and communicated their needs regarding the data and intelligence that could be provided by ProSUM. Break-out groups and surveys enhanced the dialogue between the ProSUM Consortium and our stakeholders and potential end-users of the EU-UMKDP (Urban Mine Knowledge Data Platform)  and the IN. The output of these discussions will be put to good use to help shape the services on offer for you to access data and intelligence in future.

Please see below some photos of the event and the presentations.
